Fine Arts 333

In this class we were required to do a power point on the pages of the History of Video Art book and there was a artist that had a very intriguing piece. His name is Bill Viola and the piece he made was entitled The Reflecting Pool. This piece caught my attention because I didn't expect the technology to be that impressive considering it was made in 1979. This piece to me had a lot of excitement in the beginning because the person approaching the lake didn't jump in till the last minute. Also before he jumped in I wanted him to jump into the water or for someone to push him in because he just stood there for a while. The piece was also pretty creepy since in the water figures moved along the reflection of the water and I could imagine this scene being in a Friday the 13th at Crystal Lake or something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG4UCRg3wHc
